The Import Process

The process is simple and involves the following steps.

1. Know the vehicle you want (e.g. Make, Model, Color, Kilometers and Aftermarket Accessories) if you are unsure of the vehicle you want please have a look through our vehicle specifications page for assistance. 

2. Send us a deposit of 150,000 Japanese yen. To Deposit now please click here.

3. Log on to our website www.importjapcars.com and use our easy to search online auction facility with access to around 150,000 cars each week finding the right car for you is only a couple of clicks away.

4. Once you have found vehicles matching your description please enter your maximum bid in the bid box provided. Once we have received your bid we will then give you a full description of the vehicle/s from the vehicle/s at auction (note. We will not bid on vehicles until we have confirmed with you that you want to go ahead with the vehicle and confirmed the maximum bid price)

5. Once you have been successful with our bidding an invoice will be sent out same day. This will include the vehicle cost price, inland trucking fees and agents fee.

6. Payment must be made within 2 working days of the invoice being sent out (all banking details are on the invoice).

7. Once we have received full payment for the vehicle all necessary paperwork for export will be arranged and the car will be shipped to your nearest port.

8. Once the vehicle has landed it will have to be customs cleared and cleared through quarantine. Most people use custom broking specialists to do this. (If you don’t already have a customs broker we can recommend one)

9. The final step is to get the vehicle complied too your countries safety standards and then registered.

10. Pick your vehicle up and enjoy!
